SockGrams.com

Here is Heather McGee and Jeff pulver at the end of the day at the 140 Conference. We were all melting down by 4pm, Jeff was calm, cool, and collected but tired for sure.  I met Heather in person
n last September when she was in New Jersey.  I found her on Twitter and bought a Sock Gram from her for my younger sister Heather (Heather's just follow me around).  Every once in a while I meet someone and feel like long lost friends and that is how I felt about Heather after spending time with her in September.  So I invited her to come stay at my house and we went to the conference together.

We had a great time together, and she is so sweet I might make soap out of her!  If you have any special occassions coming up ot want to send something fun and more affordable that flowers check her out http://www.sockgrams.com/ !

Heather is brave.  She left a high paying job in finance to follow her dream of building her own business, show her some love.  Follow her on Twitter @sockgrams she also does a lot of give aways contests on Twitter.

Jeff Pulver Mastermind of the 140 Conference

This picture was taken at The 140 Conference in NYC this week.  I am not sure who this other lovely young lady is but if you know her tell me her Twitter name so I can post it.  As you can see Jeff is a rockstar, he is the Elvis of Social Media quite frankly.  I am from New Jersey so I don't throw around compliments too often but let me tell you about Jeff.  What a nice human being!  You meet him for the first time and he hugs you.  Jeff are you sure you are a New Yorker? He is always calm, cool, and collected. Jeff are you sure you are a Nyer?  I was only there the first day as a participant, it was exhausting I don't know how you worked this whole thing as hard as you did for 2 days.  I think he has on a super hero cape under that shirt.  I and many other soooo appreciate all that you and your army of volunteers did for this event.
If you have an opportunity to attend The 140 Conference in your area DO IT!  It was an overwhelming and emotional experience, it has changed me.  This event reaffirms the things I felt and saw for the future of business and technology.  Big new things are in the works http://www.socialmediasoap.com/ , I am talking Skype, pod casts, and more!  A collaboration with http://www.toothsoap.com/ , collectively we have 24 years of Internet and marketing experience. Hear that?..that's me pulling out the rip chord PFSSSST ---stand back!

The 140 Conference in New York City

It's Hammer Lather Time!  I was at the http://www.140conf.com/ yesterday in New York. It was such a great time!  I met some people from Twitter that I have been networking with for the past year.  This is my first blog post on the event I will have so many others this week.  MC Hammer I grew up watching you entertain the masses in the 90's.  I told him in person I liked you then and after listening to him talk geek at the 140, well now I love him.  You had me at tweet! :)  Hammer has spent many years on the cutting edge of technology and now he and a few others like Neil Young are trying to harness the power of social media for the music industry. GO HAMMER!  It is this sort of forward thinking that brings about big change and growth for an industry. Hammer also has our Bacon Soap in his hand in this picture.  He was a very gracious guy, taking pictures and talking to us in the press room.  Then when I got home last night I noticed that @mchammer is following me on Twitter, so cool! You can watch him speak here as well as all the speakers for the day. http://www.ippio.com/140conf

Here is what Hammer is doing now http://dancejam.com/ , ahh to be young again!
